Beat Bus at the Boston Children's Museum's Makers Faire

We're thrilled to join the roster for the BCM Maker Faire! Make beats with us!

Wondering what a Maker Faire is? From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for #makers like me to show hobbies, experiments, and projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. On September 17, glimpse the future and get inspired! I can’t wait to see you there! #BosMakerFaire17http://boston.makerfaire.com/

Beat Bus 2.0 Debut

A mobile vessel, the Beat Bus 2.0 brings community building and performance art to public spaces through electronic drumming. Encouraging participants to experiment with beats, harmonies, and melodies, the drumming cart will be be equipped with the tools needed to make music on the spot! The second integration of the concept, this project aims to be more accessible and mobile than in previous years. Finkelmeier will design and build the project at Hammer East, an artist collective space in East Boston, and premiere the project in August at the same location. It will be free and open to the public, encouraging all to explore their creativity through music!

Beat Bus 2.0 is made possible with funding by the New England Foundation for the Arts' Creative City Program, with funding from The Barr Foundation and with additional support from The Boston Foundation.
